What Accessibility at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort Really Looks Like for Families
At LEGOLAND Florida Resort, we want every guest to feel welcome, which is why we have taken steps to ensure the park is safe and accessible for everyone.
While the majority of our rides are ADA accessible, we’ve created this LEGOLAND accessibility guide to help you tailor your park visit to your or your family’s needs.
Mobility
There is a wide variety of rides and shows that guests with mobility needs can access via our Hero Pass. If you or a family member requires a wheelchair or an ECV scooter for the day, head to our Stroller Rental located near the park’s entrance. Rides, attractions and amenities throughout the park use ADA symbols to indicate any restrictions.
Guests with Casts
Concerned about riding with a cast? No problem. To make your visit easier, we’ve outlined which rides prohibit guests with full arm, full leg or any type of cast on their person. See the full list of limitations here.
Service Animals
While service animals, such as dogs and miniature horses, are permitted throughout the Resort, they are not allowed on rides due to health and safety concerns, and can only accompany guests up to the ride loading point.
ADA Inquiry form
Got a specific query? Our model citizens are here to help. Fill out our ADA Inquiry form ahead of your visit so we can help make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Understanding the LEGOLAND® Hero Pass: Your Fast-Access Support Option
We offer our LEGOLAND Hero Pass to guests who may have difficulty tolerating extended waits during queueing due to disability.
The assisted access pass allows guests to skip the queue for immediate boarding via the exit, assisted by a helper. While the pass is valid for up to 6 riders, the rest of the group is required to receive a reservation. Once the reservation has been received, you’re all set to ride during your designated slot.
LEGOLAND Autism-Friendly Support: Sensory Tools, Quiet Spaces & Helpful Tips
LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a proud partner of The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), ensuring that all staff across our Certified Autism Centres are fully trained and our detailed Theme Park, Water Park and hotel sensory guides are adhered to.
In addition to our staff training and guides, we have designated sensory rooms designed to provide a quiet and calm space for guests with additional needs. Our sensory rooms can be found within LEGO® DUPLO Valley Baby Care, First Aid and our Water Park Guest Services.
Want the same LEGO® fun, just a little more gentle? Our Ferrari Build & Race experience provides a sensory sensitivity hour from 1-2 pm daily for calming and interactive playtime. Other great alternatives for gentler activities include our Imagination Zone and DUPLO Tot Spot play area, where kids can let their creativity loose in a soothing environment.
LEGOLAND Florida Resort - A Theme Park For Disabled: What To Pack For Your Day
To help you prepare for a full day of LEGO® activities, we’ve created a list of helpful items and pointers to help cater to your child’s needs during your visit:
-
Create a bracelet or name tag with your family member's name, a contact number and any other important things to know about your family member.
-
Bring earplugs or headphones. The parks can be noisy in certain places.
-
Bring your family member’s tablet, video game, comic book or anything else you think might entertain them and keep them occupied during any periods of waiting.
