LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is officially open! As the health and safety of guests and employees at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort continues to be paramount, the Resort’s extensive plan of enhanced health and safety measures includes cashless payments, social distancing practices and enhanced cleaning regimes. The Resort will also have adjusted operating hours and event content based on the reopening changes to ensure we’re making it safe to play. Here is a look at what guests can expect with our enhanced cleaning and changes to ensure our guests and Model Citizens’ continued safety at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. 

LEGOLAND VACATION PACKAGE RESCHEDULING & CHANGE POLICY

If plans change and you need to rebuild your trip, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort provides rates with the flexibility to reschedule up to five (5) days in advance of your check-in date! For guests who book their PLAYcation directly with LEGOLAND® Florida Resort or through LEGOLAND Vacations Florida, the option to reschedule and adjust your travel dates, should you need to, can be added to your vacation at time of booking (all guests who book via third party rates and promotional offers, please contact your booking provider to review their terms and conditions; LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is not authorized to cancel or reschedule third-party reservations).

  • For guests who purchased the Trip Protection Plan* (available from July 7, 2021) or the Flexible Cancellation* option (available prior to May 31 2020) as part of their vacation booking, you can “rebuild” your vacation and make changes to your trip until 4 P.M. EST a minimum of five (5) days prior to your scheduled arrival date (referred to as the “grace period”). If a cancellation request is processed within that timeframe, the value of the vacation package, less the non-refundable Flexible Cancellation or Trip Protection Plan fee, will be refunded to the original form of payment. If a cancellation request occurs after the specified “grace period”, then the vacation package booking and any applicable service fees are non-refundable. Requests to reschedule a vacation package that occur after the specified “grace period” are not guaranteed.

If you made your booking between June 1, 2020 and July 6th, 2021, the below details  on our Peace of Mind Policy apply to your booking:

  • As part of our safe-to-play policies during the pandemic, bookings made between June 1, 2020 and July 6th, 2021 will automatically have our Peace of Mind Policy applied which allows guests to reschedule their trip up to five (5) days in advance of their scheduled arrival date without a fee (must be completed by 4pm EST five (5) days prior to scheduled arrival date, referred to as the “grace period”). Any changes to your reservation are subject to availability and new room rates may apply. If you made your booking within five (5) days of arrival, no cancellations, changes, or refunds are allowed. In the event of no-show, all monies are forfeited.  Tickets and Extras are non-refundable once issued but may be used up to one year from the original reservation date.

If you need to change your party plans (or the accessories you come with) and any of the above policies or products have been applied to your vacation booking, please reach out to our Hotel Reservations Team who would be more than happy to help you rebuild your trip around a new future date! Please phone us at (888) 690-5346 with the name and order number of your reservation, contact information and new date (if you have it) and we will update your booking and help you readjust the countdown to your AWESOME vacation!

For all vacation package bookings, any changes to your reservation are subject to availability and new room rates may apply. No cancellations or modifications are allowed within five (5) days of arrival with any of the aforementioned policies. All other vacation package bookings, including the travel dates and package inclusions, are considered final at time of booking and are non-refundable. Tickets and Extras are non-refundable once issued but may be used up to one (1) year from the original reservation date.  No cancellations or modifications will be processed within five (5) days of arrival.

*Please note that the LEGOLAND Vacations Flexible Cancellation and/or Trip Protection Plan product is not typical travel insurance. If you are looking to ensure your upcoming vacation, please contact an independent travel insurance provider.

WEATHER POLICIES AND RAINY DAY GUARANTEE

The LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is open rain or shine, and while we can guarantee a memorable experience, we unfortunately can’t control the weather (yet!). Due to Central Florida’s climate, afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in the summer. If the weather affects our rides for more than 120 minutes during your visit, we promise to give our guests a ticket to return in the next 365 days, no questions asked. Please visit our guest services center at the front of the Park on your way out to claim your return ticket. Please note, this does not apply to annual passholders or youth and education groups. Tickets may be subject to blackout dates.

To help plan your visit, we suggest that families visit our rides and attractions that can be affected by rain in the morning, and save shopping and indoor rides for later in the day. A full list of rides, including those that are open no matter the weather, can be found below.

Rain: Whether it is a sprinkle or a shower, we’re sorry the weather affected your day. No matter how heavy rains, the following attractions are available for you and your family to enjoy:

Lightning: Your safety is our number one priority. When lightning is in the area we adhere to these ride procedures to ensure everyone stays out of harm’s way.

Lightning within 15 miles – All rides operational other than Boating School and Water Park attractions.

Lightning within 5 miles or closer – The following attractions are available to enjoy:

HURRICANE POLICY

Can I reschedule or cancel my LEGOLAND Florida Resort vacation due to the hurricane?

The safety of guests and Model Citizens is our highest priority.

If the National Hurricane Center issues a tropical storm or hurricane warning for the Central Florida area — or for your place of residence — within seven days preceding your scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule or cancel your LEGOLAND Florida Resort visit without any penalties or fees imposed by LEGOLAND and/or Merlin Entertainments.

This policy applies only to LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park tickets, LEGOLAND Water Park tickets and LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel, LEGOLAND Hotel or LEGOLAND Beach Retreat reservations booked directly with LEGOLAND Florida Resort or LEGOLAND Vacations, as well as partner hotel reservations and packages booked through LEGOLAND Vacations.

If your travel plans were arranged by third-party suppliers, including travel agents, travel-booking websites, ticket resellers and other businesses independent of LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND Vacations, you are responsible for any nonrefundable payments as well as any cancellation or change fees charged by those suppliers.

Likewise, if your travel plans include products or services provided by third-party suppliers, such as airfare, rental cars or vacation insurance, you are responsible for any nonrefundable payments as well as any cancellation or change fees charged by those suppliers.

Guests who wish to reschedule a visit due to an NHC hurricane or tropical storm warning, or those with questions about their vacation, can call the Merlin Entertainments Customer Service Center daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern at +1 888-690-5346. Guests under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian’s permission to call.

For ticket-related inquiries outside business hours, please email LLF.Experience@LEGOLAND.com and a member of our Guest Services team will respond at the earliest opportunity.

If I reschedule my LEGOLAND Pirate Island, LEGOLAND Hotel or LEGOLAND Beach Retreat reservation due to the hurricane, will I receive the same accommodations on the new dates?

If the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) issues a tropical storm or hurricane warning for the Central Florida area – or for your place of residence – within seven days preceding your scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule or cancel your LEGOLAND Florida Resort visit without any penalties or fees imposed by LEGOLAND and/or Merlin Entertainments.

We cannot guarantee availability of similar accommodations for the new travel dates. All amounts you paid to LEGOLAND Vacations for rooms, theme park tickets and other LEGOLAND products and services will be applied toward your new reservation.

Any discounts or special offers applicable to your original confirmed vacation will not apply to the rescheduled vacation travel dates. You are responsible for applicable package pricing for the new vacation dates.

My original LEGOLAND Florida Resort vacation booking was made as part of a special offer. If I reschedule my vacation due to the hurricane, will I receive the terms of the original offer?

If the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) issues a tropical storm hurricane warning for the Central Florida area – or for your place of residence – within seven days preceding your scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule or cancel your LEGOLAND Florida Resort visit without any penalties or fees imposed by LEGOLAND and/or Merlin Entertainments.

You will receive the terms of the original offer only if an identical offer is available for your rescheduled travel dates. All amounts paid to LEGOLAND Florida Resort or LEGOLAND Vacations for rooms, park tickets and other LEGOLAND products and services will be applied toward your new reservation.

Any discounts or special offers applicable to your original confirmed vacation may not apply to the rescheduled vacation travel dates. You are responsible for applicable package pricing for the new vacation dates.

If your travel plans were arranged by third-party suppliers, including travel agents, travel-booking websites, ticket resellers and other businesses independent of LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND Vacations, you are responsible for any nonrefundable payments as well as any cancellation or change fees charged by those suppliers.

Likewise, if your travel plans include products or services provided by third-party suppliers, such as airfare, rental cars or vacation insurance, you are responsible for any nonrefundable payments as well as any cancellation or change fees charged by those suppliers. If I reschedule my LEGOLAND Florida Resort vacation due to the hurricane, what should I do about my airline tickets, rental car reservation, etc.?

If the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) issues a hurricane or tropical storm warning for the Central Florida area – or for your place of residence – within seven days preceding your scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule or cancel your LEGOLAND Florida Resort visit without any penalties or fees imposed by LEGOLAND and/or Merlin Entertainments.

If your travel plans include products or services provided by third-party suppliers, such as airfare, rental cars or vacation insurance, you are responsible for any nonrefundable payments as well as any cancellation or change fees charged by those suppliers.
