Blast off on Galacticoaster, the exciting indoor family coaster at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort. This immersive attraction combines storytelling, interactive technology, and family-friendly thrills into one unforgettable adventure. From designing your own spacecraft before launch to soaring through a vibrant galaxy of imagination, Galacticoaster offers an experience unlike any other at the Resort.

The Galacticoaster: Next-Gen Personalization on Rails

Biff Dipper at Galacticoaster LEGOLAND Florida Resort

The new Galacticoaster is a new exciting indoor family coaster that puts kids in charge of their own space mission. The experience runs to around 10 minutes in total and kicks off the moment you join the queue. That’s where you’ll meet Biff Dipper, the park’s first-ever animatronic LEGO® Minifigure, who provides rookie space cadets with their briefing, delivered with humor that kids will love. A great start that sets the tone before the adventure begins.

The Customization Bay

Galacticoaster customization

When the briefing is complete, riders move on to the Customization Bay. Here you will find a series of touchscreens where families build their own digital spacecraft across four sequential build phases.

There are over 625 possible custom spacecraft combinations in total, each linked to the ride itself via RFID wristbands.

Your spacecraft doesn’t just disappear after you’ve built it: it shows up again during the launch sequence and after you’ve ridden the ride, making the personalization feel genuinely connected rather than just a decorative facade.

Galaacticoaster, the LEGOLAND Florida new indoor roller coaster is designed as a family ride first, smooth enough for kids around the 6–12 age range, but with plenty of speed and immersion to excite grown-ups too.

The touchscreens use icon-based visual building phases, allowing younger riders to navigate the building process independently. A nice touch for families with a mix of ages, meaning nobody is left waiting for anyone to catch up.

Junior Astronaut Training Zone & Orbital Outpost

The adventure extends beyond the coaster itself. After your mission, families can continue exploring with interactive play opportunities and themed shopping that keep the excitement going long after the ride ends.

Junior Astronaut Training Zone

Even the smallest astronauts can get their space legs moving in a soft play zone designed for ages 1-4, perfect for small steps, giant leaps and big adventures.

Orbital Outpost

Before heading to your next adventure, stop by Orbital Outpost, the attraction's themed retail location.

Browse a selection of LEGO® sets, space-inspired merchandise, apparel, collectibles, and souvenirs celebrating your journey through the stars. Whether you're searching for the perfect keepsake or a gift for the space enthusiast in your family, Orbital Outpost offers plenty of opportunities to bring a little imagination home.

The Verdict: Is Galacticoaster Worth the Trip?

LEGO Galaxy & Galacticoaster Testimonials

Families have been sharing positive feedback about their adventures on Galacticoaster, highlighting everything from the interactive spacecraft customization to the smooth ride experience and immersive storytelling.

WHAT A RIDE! Perfectly built for LEGOLAND, this is fun and adventurous without being too much for kids. It has a pre-show, a design-your-rocket area, the ride and outdoor activities for the youngest kids. This is without-a-doubt one of if not the best ride at the park. This indoor attraction has a launch into a themed show building that is maxed out in color and fun. Hard to describe other than ‘family-friendly rocket ship experience into a LEGO Galaxy.’ I give this coaster a 10/10 for kids, they will love it.

Tharin White

This was an amazing ride! It’s the perfect theme for people just discovering LEGO or people who have been into space sets for decades. You get to design your own spaceship, and then see yourself in the ship as it gets put together. The roller coaster itself is very smooth and energetic without being at all jarring. Six out of five stars!

Stephen Stacey

Great ride, kids loved it, rode at least 5 times!

Galacticoaster is the first indoor coaster built at a Florida theme park since opening in 2011. They have a small introduction video, then give you a Wi-Fi wristband. You can customize your own spaceship on a display, it’s a great ride for everyone in the family. Note: you can’t ride with bags or purses, but there are free lockers for your convenience.

Carolina Jorge M.

LEGOLAND hit it out of the park with this one! Galacticoaster is an absolute blast. It has that smooth spinning coaster feel and just enough thrills to keep adults smiling, while still being totally approachable for kids. It’s exciting and fast enough that adults won’t feel like it’s just a kiddie ride, but it’s not overly intense, so younger riders can enjoy it without being intimidated. Every ride feels a little different. Don’t skip it!”

Yes. Galacticoaster is included with standard admission to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, as well as eligible Annual Passes. No separate ticket or reservation is required to experience the attraction during normal park operations.

The touchscreens in the Customization Bay use icon-based, visual building phases rather than text-heavy interfaces. Younger children can navigate them independently, though the overall sequence across four build phases does take a few minutes. For families with mixed age groups, the design is intended to keep the queue moving and make sure smaller kids enjoy the full personalization experience.
