During the 2026 holiday season, running November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027, guests can experience festive decorations, seasonal shows and holiday-themed entertainment across the resort.

Grinchmas at Universal Islands of Adventure

One of the season's signature experiences is Grinchmas, featuring the world of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! at Seuss Landing in Universal Islands of Adventure.

Families can enjoy the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, a live retelling of the classic holiday story, along with themed decorations and opportunities to encounter the Grinch. Character availability, showtimes and individual experiences may vary by date.

Grinchmas is a particularly appealing option for families who enjoy the familiar Christmas story and want to add a themed holiday show to their Orlando itinerary.

Other seasonal highlights include:

• Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's: See festive floats, larger-than-life balloons and holiday characters during the seasonal parade.
• Holiday decorations and entertainment: Discover additional seasonal experiences across participating areas of the resort.

Some experiences are included with applicable theme park admission, while certain tours, upgrades or separately ticketed offerings may cost extra.

Planning tip: Check the Grinchmas show schedule before arriving and leave time to explore Seuss Landing. If you're visiting multiple Orlando-area attractions, compare operating dates and travel times when building your itinerary.

3. Visit SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration

SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration is scheduled for select dates from November 6, 2026, through January 4, 2027.

The seasonal event combines festive lighting, holiday-themed entertainment, seasonal food and opportunities to meet Santa and other characters. Families can also look for returning seasonal shows and holiday experiences throughout the park.

The event is included with park admission on designated dates, although particular experiences and upgrades may have their own terms.

SeaWorld Orlando can be an option for families who want to combine the park's attractions with Christmas entertainment during a Central Florida vacation.

Planning tip: Compare the event calendar with your other planned activities to choose a visit date that allows enough time to experience the seasonal entertainment.

4. Explore Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort brings holiday decorations, seasonal entertainment, themed food and character experiences to its parks and other areas during the Christmas season.

For 2026, the resort's holiday season begins November 13 and continues into January 2027. Experiences vary by park, and some special events require separate tickets.

Families can explore holiday offerings across Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, along with seasonal experiences at Disney Springs.

Depending on the park and date, holiday activities may include festive decorations, seasonal entertainment, character appearances and special holiday parties. EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays also highlights holiday traditions from different cultures.

Because offerings differ across the resort, families should decide which experiences matter most before planning their park days.

Planning tip: If your family plans to visit multiple theme parks, account for travel time, park reservations or other applicable entry requirements, show schedules and the additional cost of separately ticketed events.

5. Attend the City of Orlando Tree Lighting Celebration

Families interested in a community Christmas event can consider the City of Orlando's annual Tree Lighting Celebration at Lake Eola Park.

The 2026 celebration is scheduled for Friday, December 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at Washington Plaza in downtown Orlando.

The city lists holiday performances, food trucks, the Merry Market and a visit with Santa among the event's activities. The celebration is free to attend.

This can be a useful option for families who want a seasonal outing without committing to a full theme park day.

Planning tip: Downtown events can attract crowds, so review parking and transportation options before leaving home.

6. Enjoy Jingle Eve in Orlando

Jingle Eve is a community holiday celebration in Orlando's Ivanhoe Village area. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event includes local artisans, food trucks, music, a children's holiday village and activities around the neighborhood. A fireworks display is also planned as part of the evening's festivities.

Jingle Eve is free to attend, although certain premium experiences may require payment.

It offers a different type of Christmas outing from the area's large theme parks, with opportunities to explore a neighborhood celebration and support local businesses.

7. Find Christmas Lights and Seasonal Entertainment

Christmas lights are another popular reason families visit Orlando and Central Florida during the holidays. Depending on your travel dates, you may find illuminated displays, decorated public spaces, seasonal performances and special nighttime entertainment at theme parks and community events.

When comparing Christmas light experiences, consider the following:

• Admission: Determine whether the display is included with an existing ticket or requires separate admission.

• Dates: Some events run throughout the season, while others operate only on select nights.

• Timing: Evening events may require a later start and additional planning for younger children.

• Weather: Florida winter evenings can still be cool or rainy, so check the forecast and dress accordingly.

• Location: Consider travel time between your accommodation and the event, especially if you are combining multiple holiday activities.

For families visiting LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, Christmas Bricktacular provides a way to combine seasonal lighting and holiday entertainment with LEGO® activities and Theme Park attractions.

Always confirm the current season's details directly with event organizers before traveling.

How to Plan a Christmas Vacation in Orlando

With so many Christmas events in Orlando, choosing the right experiences depends on your family's interests, available time and budget.

Choose Activities Based on Your Children's Ages and Interests

Families with young children may prefer experiences that combine rides, character encounters, interactive activities and manageable schedules.

LEGOLAND® Christmas Bricktacular includes LEGO® building opportunities, seasonal characters and Theme Park attractions. Other Orlando holiday events may appeal to families interested in large-scale parades, live shows, themed lands or Christmas light displays.

Review the specific activities available on your intended visit date rather than assuming every seasonal experience operates daily.

Check Which Events Are Included With Admission

Not all Christmas events follow the same ticketing model.

LEGOLAND® Christmas Bricktacular is included with general Theme Park admission on event dates. SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration and many of Universal Orlando's seasonal in-park experiences are also included with applicable park admission.

Other experiences, including certain holiday parties, tours and upgrades, may require separate tickets.

Compare the total cost of admission, parking, food, transportation and any additional activities when budgeting for your family.

Consider Staying Outside Central Orlando

Orlando's main theme parks are spread across the wider Central Florida area, and some family attractions are located outside the city itself.

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is in Winter Haven, south of the main Orlando tourist area. If it is a priority on your itinerary, consider planning a dedicated visit rather than assuming it is next door to the other major Orlando theme parks.

An overnight stay can also help families reduce the pressure of fitting every activity into one day.

Build in Time for Meals and Breaks

Holiday events can involve long days, crowds and evening entertainment. Families with younger children may benefit from planning meal breaks, allowing time to return to their accommodation and choosing only a few priority activities each day.

If a Christmas drone show, parade or nighttime light experience is important to your plans, check its scheduled time and arrive early enough to find an appropriate viewing location.

Confirm Event Dates Before Booking

Many seasonal experiences operate on select dates or have separate operating schedules. Confirm dates and opening hours before finalizing tickets, hotel reservations or transportation.

This is especially important if your trip falls around Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's Eve.

Plan Your Christmas Adventure in Central Florida

From community tree lightings and Christmas lights to major theme park celebrations, Orlando offers families many ways to make the holiday season memorable.

If your family enjoys LEGO® creativity, rides, seasonal entertainment and festive character experiences, put LEGOLAND® Christmas Bricktacular at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort on your holiday itinerary. With new experiences planned for 2026, including a festive drone show featuring LEGO® Santa, an interactive light trail and a Rap Battle Show, the celebration offers a distinctive way to enjoy Christmas in Central Florida.

Start planning your visit: Check the LEGOLAND® Florida Resort seasonal events calendar, review available tickets and hotel packages, and choose a date that works for your family.
