Media Admissions Policy
The media admissions policy for LEGOLAND New York Resort enables working media to become familiar with the Resort's many featured attractions and, at the same time, enjoy a day with family. This courtesy is extended to active members of the news media only, not including administration, sales or retired personnel.
Requests received from media covering the following industries will be approved on a case-by-case basis:
- Beauty/Health and Wellness
- High School and College Campus Broadcast/Print
The qualifying media representative must accompany his or her party to the Park. Complimentary media tickets include one-day admission to LEGOLAND New York Resort and do not include parking fees. Complimentary two-day admission tickets are not permitted. Arrangements are made through the LEGOLAND New York Public Relations Department.
How to Get Tickets
Please select the appropriate category below to request media tickets.
All requests must be submitted at least five business days prior to your intended visitation date. The Public Relations Department will respond to your request no later than two business days before your visit.
For holidays observed on Mondays (e.g., Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.) all requests must be received by noon the previous Monday. Requests for weekend days made after noon on Monday will not be granted.
A maximum of four (4) complimentary admission e-tickets per year are available to working media in the following categories:
Publishers, editors, reporters, writers and photographers
News directors, assignment editors, producers (news/features), on-air personnel (anchors/hosts/DJs/reporters) and videographers/photographers
Complimentary admission is provided to freelance writers and producers with written confirmation from the assigning news outlet
Publishers, editors, reporters, writers and photographers with established online news media outlets will be regarded as print media.
A maximum of two (2) complimentary admission e-tickets are available to qualified bloggers each year. Requests from bloggers will be reviewed on a case by case basis as they relate to appropriate demographic coverage. Please submit readership numbers with your request. Blog must cover the following topics to be considered:
- Family Travel
- Theme Parks
- Special events
Media on Assignment
News media on assignment must request interviews and photo sessions in advance through the Media Relations Department. This will ensure that appropriate Park personnel will be available at the time of the visit. All media on assignment must arrive at Lot B (Main Park Entrance) and be escorted during their visit. Family members and friends will not be permitted to accompany media on assignment without prior approval.
