LEGOLAND® California Resort is a place that's best enjoyed with a loose plan, not a set schedule. It's designed for families, which means kids will naturally take breaks, need snacks and want to run around and explore! That being said, there are simple ways to make the day feel stress-free.

How to Start Your Day

Start your day by heading straight to one or two of your top "must-do" LEGOLAND® rides. Don't rush, but do move with purpose so you're ahead of the crowd. 

After you've enjoyed those bigger attractions, shift into a slower rhythm - this is when interactive rides, gentle family rides, or LEGO® character meet-and-greets make great options. 

Lunch & Dining Options

Try to eat lunch early - around 11:30 AM or 12:00 PM to beat the rush. We have lots of savory options to enjoy, including burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, barbecue, and salads. Save space for dessert and try delicious treats like our signature Granny’s Apple Fries, ice cream, and more! Check out our dining options. 

After Lunch Activities

When the day gets warmer, explore our splash-tastic water rides and play areas. If water rides aren't your family's style, this is also a great time for indoor attractions or shaded play areas to cool down.

As the afternoon moves into early evening, the park generally starts to quiet down again, which makes this a great time to revisit your favorite rides for kids or enjoy any exciting live shows & entertainment!

Ride Planning by Age Group

Each of our rides has different age and height restrictions, as well as different activity levels. Slower, more gentle rides are perfect for toddlers and young kids, whereas our faster, more intense rides are great for older kids.

Parent Tips:

For little ones, make time for playground breaks and a shady spot to rest. We’ve got plenty of relaxing LEGO® building activities, live entertainment, quiet picnic areas and shaded areas to keep them happy.

Parent Tips:

We recommend starting with our interactive rides while energy is high and then ending the day at our Water Park when it’s the warmest. For an afternoon snack or lunch break, stop off at one of our restaurants or food stands around the Resort.

For families with older children, consider making the high-energy rides the start of the day! Part of the magic is re-riding your favorites and ending the day with a delicious meal at one of our restaurants.
