Our robust procedures have been developed over a number of years with police and the security services and these remain under constant review.

Security Checks
At LEGOLAND® California Resort, the safety and security of our guests and staff is our top priority. We have a variety of robust security measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We recommend arriving with plenty of time before your visit to allow for our enhanced security screening procedures. These checks are an important part of keeping the Resort safe and may cause a brief delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Enhanced Bag & Personal Belonging Checks
To help ensure your visit is as safe, secure, and enjoyable as possible, LEGOLAND® California Resort has enhanced security checks in place. These include thorough bag and personal belonging inspections prior to entry.
All bags and belongings will be searched to ensure that prohibited items are not brought into the Resort. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all guests.

Safety Measures You May Encounter
You may encounter security measures such as:
- Walkthrough metal detectors
- Handheld wand detectors
- Normal Checks of Bags

Additional Safety Measures
At LEGOLAND® California Resort, creating a safe, secure, and fun environment is at the heart of everything we do. From the moment you arrive, our team is working behind the scenes and on the ground to ensure your visit is as smooth and worry-free as possible.
We’ve implemented a variety of safety measures—both visible and behind the scenes—so you can focus on what matters most: building unforgettable memories with your family and friends.
What You’ll See
We have visible security measures throughout the Resort, including:
- Bag checks and screening at entry points
- Uniformed security officers stationed across the property
- Roaming security teams patrolling day and night
What You Might Not See
In addition to our visible efforts, we also have behind-the-scenes security protocols in place:
- 24/7 monitoring of the entire Resort
- Collaboration with local and state law enforcement agencies
- Plain-clothed officers on-site throughout the year
- Regular training and briefings from government security experts
These partnerships and procedures ensure that our security practices are always up to date and aligned with the latest safety standards.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, the following items are not permitted inside LEGOLAND® California Resort:
- Drones of any kind
- Balloons, inflatables, or balls (e.g., footballs, tennis balls)
- Weapons or weapon-like objects, including:
- Firearms (real or toy)
- Pocket knives
- Self-defense sprays (e.g., pepper spray)
- Squirt guns or toy guns
- Marijuana, alcohol, or illegal substances
- Outside food or beverages including fast food
- Exceptions: Water and individually wrapped, single-portion, ready-to-eat small snacks—like a granola bar, bag of chips, or fruit —that don’t require heating. Items required for medical, religious, or specific dietary needs are also permitted.
- Large coolers
- Only coolers no larger than 12” x 10” (approx. 6-pack size) are allowed
- Coolers with wheels are not permitted
- Glass containers
- Exception: Baby food containers are allowed
- Luggage, rolling backpacks, or wheeled bags
- Personal transportation devices, including:
- Segways, Rollerblades, Scooters, Hoverboards, Wheeled shoes, and Skateboards
- Folding chairs
- Clothing with offensive language or imagery
- Portable speakers
- Large selfie sticks or ring lights
- Pets

LEGOLAND California reserves the right to search/inspect any item and not allow any other items determined to be harmful.
Resort Guest Services will not hold any of these prohibited items. Security Rangers patrol all areas of the Resort and are more than happy to help or advise.
