LEGOLAND® Dubai Launches Search for Junior Reporters

  • Tuesday February 6th 2018

They say there’s no substitute for experience, so what better way for a budding young journalist to prepare themselves for a successful future than with the job of a lifetime as a LEGOLAND® Dubai Junior Reporter?

LEGOLAND Dubai, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park destination, has launched an exciting opportunity for English and Arabic speaking children to become one of four official Junior Reporters! The role will allow children to report first-hand from all events at LEGOLAND Dubai – all while enjoying the 60 rides, attractions and building experiences spread across LEGOLAND Dubai and LEGOLAND® Water Park.

From 6 February – 28 February children aged 6-12 will be able to enter by uploading a video in English or Arabic to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ImAJuniorReporter, explaining why they should be one of the LEGOLAND Junior Reporters. Lucky hopefuls must also follow the LEGOLAND Dubai social media accounts, and tag them in the post. The winners will be announced on 14 March based on the most creative and engaging entries.

Successful candidates will win the chance to be invited to all events at LEGOLAND Dubai, where they’ll be able to report on the latest and greatest news from their favourite theme park. They’ll also win four annual passes for their family, which means everyone can join in the fun. Each member of the Junior Reporter team will also receive a special certificate at the end.

Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of LEGOLAND Dubai said: “We’re so excited to launch the LEGOLAND Dubai Junior Reporter programme in the UAE for the first time. It’s an amazing opportunity for children to get a taste of what it’s like to be a reporter, and share our exciting news first hand, whilst having fun in the region’s first theme park specially designed for families with children aged 2-12.”

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the winners to LEGOLAND Dubai, having them meet the other junior reporters, and of course, also welcoming them to 60 rides, attractions and building experiences with their families when they use their annual passes.”

LEGOLAND Dubai, together with LEGOLAND® Water Park, is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts which also features Bollywood Parks Dubai a first-of-its-kind theme park that showcases rides and attraction based on some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters and MOTIONGATE Dubai – a unique theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Colombia Pictures and Lionsgate. The entire destination is connected by Riverland Dubai, the free to enter themed recreational hub with a multitude of dining, shopping and unique entertainment options, that connects the theme parks, perfect for friends and families of all ages, and guests can stay at the Lapita Hotel, a Polynesian themed family hotel part of the Marriott Autograph® Collection. Expected to open in late 2019, Six Flags Dubai will be the destination’s fifth theme park and the region’s first Six Flags theme park.
