  • Sunday April 30th 2017

In advance of the summer months, five lucky children will learn about water safety tips and have the opportunity to become a LEGOLAND Water Park Junior Lifeguard for a day and win Annual Passes for their families

Calling all young swimming enthusiasts: LEGOLAND® Water Park, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park destination, has launched a once in a lifetime opportunity for children to become one of five official LEGOLAND Water Park  Junior  Lifeguards! The Water Park aims to teach children life saving tips and techniques while also enjoying the 20 water slides and attractions.

From 30 April 2017, the public will be able to nominate children aged 6-12 via video or photo with a caption on Instagram or Twitter using the #LLWPJrLifeGuard hashtag explaining why they want to be a LEGOLAND Water Park Junior Lifeguard. Those who will enter the competition must follow the LEGOLAND Dubai social media accounts, and tag them in the post using the #LLWPJrLifeGuard hashtag.

The lucky winners will be announced on 11 May based on the most creative and engaging entries.

On Saturday 20 May 2017, the winners will be invited to LEGOLAND Water Park for an awesome morning of fun and exciting training sessions with LEGOLAND Water Park Lifeguards, learning basic lifesaving skills and water safety tips. At the end of the session, each Junior Lifesaver will receive a special certificate and four Annual Passes for their whole family to enjoy LEGOLAND Dubai and LEGOLAND Water Park for the next year.

Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of LEGOLAND Dubai said: “We are thrilled to launch the Junior Lifeguards competition in the UAE for the first time. This is an excellent educational programme for children to learn about basic lifesaving skills whilst having fun in the region’s first water park specially designed for families with children age 2-12.  We are looking forward to welcoming the winners to LEGOLAND Water Park’s 20 water slides and attractions for an exciting morning full of adventure. ”
