Build enriching memories this Ramadan at LEGOLAND® Dubai

  • Wednesday April 24th 2019

Families across the UAE can mark the Holy Month of Ramadan at LEGOLAND® Dubai, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest integrated theme park destination in the region, this May, with a series of special offers taking place at the park. Families and children will have the opportunity to join in the spirit of giving through a partnership with “Wanna Read?”, a non-profit initiative founded by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.

Starting from the first day of Ramadan, guests can visit LEGOLAND Dubai or LEGOLAND® Water Park for only AED100 per ticket, with 10% of all ticket sales going towards the “Wanna Read?” initiative. The charitable initiative, founded by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, aims to create warm, friendly and healing environments through reading activities for children in hospitals.

Commenting on the partnership, Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, said: “We are delighted that LEGOLAND Dubai has chosen to partner with “Wanna Read?” to bring books to young patients in hospital across the UAE, during the auspicious month of Ramadan. This meaningful partnership will allow families to directly donate their own or brand-new books at the park to encourage healing through reading for children.”

As part of the collaboration with “Wanna Read?”, LEGOLAND Dubai also invites families to donate children’s books when visiting LEGOLAND Dubai throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. Whether brand-new books or ones that they have read and cherished, guests can bring in one or more books to a dedicated collection area in MINILAND. At the end of Ramadan, all the books will be collected by “Wanna Read?”, where they will be used as part of charity book sales, as well as gifted to paediatric wards across the UAE to help young patients through their healing and rehabilitation. Additionally, visitors to LEGOLAND Dubai over the Ramadan period will have the opportunity to sign up as volunteers to the ‘Wanna Read?’ initiative.

Adding to the partnership, The Big Shop retail store within the park will also run a “Buy One & Give One” offer on all books, meaning when one book is purchased, visitors will be given another to donate to ‘Wanna Read?’. This will only applicable for annual pass members.

From the first day of Ramadan, LEGOLAND Dubai and LEGOLAND Water Park will open Saturday – Wednesday from 10am to 5pm, with LEGOLAND Water Park operating from 10am to 6pm Thursday and Friday while LEGOLAND Dubai will open 10am – 8pm. Tickets for UAE residents will be priced at AED100, with 10% of all ticket sales donated to ‘Wanna Read?’
