LEGOLAND® California Resort Builds on Its Future with the Addition of LEGO® Friends Heartlake City Print

Carlsbad, Calif. (May 7, 2015) – A team of builders are putting the final touches on a themed 60 horse carousel, just one new feature in LEGOLAND® California Resort's newest area, LEGO® Friends Heartlake City, opening May 21, 2015. Heartlake City is based on the popular LEGO® toy line, LEGO Friends, which focuses on the adventures and lives of five girls: Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie.

Using more than 100,000 LEGO elements, the five girls have each been recreated out of LEGO bricks for guests to enjoy. Master Model Builders carefully unwrapped them to join the more than 50 other LEGO models built for Heartlake City including bows, microphones, first place ribbons, ladybugs and carrots. Guests can create their own LEGO models at a building "trough" inside the Heartlake Stables.
LEGO Friends Heartlake City invites kids and families to dance and sing along at Friends Forever Stage, build inside Heartlake Stables and go for a horseback ride on the carousel at Mia's Riding Camp. Guests can also satisfy their sweet tooth at City Park Crêperie with freshly made crêpes before splashing about in the Heartlake Fountain!

Heartlake City opens to guests at LEGOLAND California Resort on May 21, but a few celebrities get to meet the Friends first as they walk the pink carpet during a grand opening ceremony on May 20 at noon. Heartlake City is included in the cost of admission to LEGOLAND California Resort. For more information, operating schedule and ticket prices, visit or call 760-918-LEGO (5346).
